Flared Jumpsuit

Happy Monday lovelies! I hope it's been a great start of the week for you. It's a miserable, rainy day up here in Manchester. This sort of weather gets me day dreaming of warmer climes and summer looks! As you can see from my latest post, I'm already feeling more Springtime-y. So last week, when this Zara sale find arrived, I couldn't wait to show it to you to you guys, so went out in the pouring rain (oh it's a hard life) and got a few photos done. I would normally post lots of pictures, and focus on details, but unfortunately my hair was absolutely soaking and looked like I had just got out of the shower!

Now, I know this is a marmite look. You will either love or hate it. I was dubious about pulling off a flared jumpsuit...however I was pleasantly surprised! Zara really think about wearable pieces, not just 'on trend' for the sake of it. It's such a flattering, leg lengthening style! I did feel the need to add the scarf, just to give it a bit of texture, but even on it's own, it's a fabulous addition to my wardrobe.

I'm 5"7, and I added sky scraper heels, which really add to the seventies vibe and made me look extra tall. Flares are back big style. There are already lots of options on the high street. I think they suit almost every shape and are much more wearable than the skinny jean, which I know a lot of people don't like. You don't have to go over the top (the jumpsuit may be slightly 'out there') but just getting the hint of the wide leg will make your outfit instantly bang on trend.

I completed the look with my trusty New Look bag which I have been so much recently as it fits in everything!

I'm off to London on Wednesday, and I can't wait to get some Londonstyle blog shoots done! I've promised my hubby that I will only take up an hour or so of our holiday...but when I find those black railings they'll be no stopping me! (those who follow lots of fashion blogs will know the railing pictures I mean).

Keep up to date with my travels and daily outfits over on instagram, find me at fashion_panic

Have a great week, speak soon.

The Liebster Award

Hi again guys! This time I'm writing all about the fantastic Liebster Award. I had no idea what it was until the lovely Susie from Leopard Living nominated me for one on Twitter yesterday. Now I don't know if you guys have worked out yet, but I am rubbish on Twitter. I only got it last year, and I just have no idea how it works! I only have 43 followers, and I just can't seem to work out how to get noticed on there. I find Instagram much easier, but I must make more of an effort to suss it out!

Back on to the award! It's basically a brilliant way for new bloggers to get more exposure and find new blogs out there that have less than 1000 followers. Someone will nominate you and you have to thank them, and tag their blog, then answer the questions they set for you. Then in return, you nominate some new bloggers you like, set the questions and they do the same for you. It's like a chain letter, but you don't have to take part, it's completely optional, but I personally think it's a fab idea!

So here it goes!

Why did you start blogging?
I love fashion and followed blogs. I studied teaching at Uni, so wanted a way to express my passion for fashion!
What is your favourite thing about blogging?
Definitely meeting (or just talking online) to other bloggers who have the same interests as you. I have made so many lovely friends (from all over the world!) in the short time I have been blogging and I just love all of the girl power! Everyone is so nice and we all really support each other (this award for example).
What is your favourite high street store?
Zara. Without a doubt. They have the best high street 'copies' from the catwalk at reasonable prices.
What is your favourite holiday spot?
Turkey. My husband's family live in Turkey, I got married there and lived there for a year. I love the people, food and obviously the weather!
What camera do you use for your blog photos?
I actually use my Samsung Galaxy S4! I know, so unprofessional, but I don't have any other camera!
What type of posts do you enjoy reading the most?
I love finding out more about the blogger. I think instagram and the internet in general can make everyone's life look 'perfect'. I like to know the reality (nobodies perfect!) and get to know the passion behind the blog.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I'll be 31 in 5 years time! Errrrr! I do not feel 26 at all, so I doubt I'll feel 31. I would love to be working in the fashion industry at some level. I know I would have to work my way up and be very driven, but It's my absolute passion, so I want to succeed.
What is the story behind your blog name?
I've suffered with anxiety since the age of 12. So much so, I couldn't leave the house for a few years. I'm lots better now, but anxiety and panic are still apart of my life, and have made me stronger and the person I am today. So fashion panic was a way of making anxiety a positive aspect of my life.
3 favourite style icons?
This changes a lot on a day to day basis. I feel I don''t have a particular 'style'. I love minimal styles, vintage and also boho chic. But today they are; Sienna Miller, Lara Bingle and Victoria Beckham.
If you had to take an object with you to a deserted island, what would you take?
If people and food were not included (and we had internet) it would be my phone.
Which item in your wardrobe can’t you live without?
Boyfriend jeans. Love them. Have 3 pairs and they are all so comfortable and stylish and take me through all seasons!

So my nominations are;
Melissa from The Ruby Blonde
My favourite Swede from Miss Superficial
Kayleigh from The World of Kayleigh
Lauren from Lauren Marie

Here's what you have to do girls if you want to take part;
If you have been nominated for The Liebster Award AND YOU CHOOSE TO ACCEPT IT, write a blog post about the Liebster award in which you:
1. thank the person who nominated you, and post a link to their blog on your blog.
2. display the award on your blog — by including it in your post and/or displaying it using a “widget” or a “gadget”. (Note that the best way to do this is to save the image to your own computer and then upload it to your blog post.)
3. answer 11 questions about yourself, which will be provided to you by the person who nominated you.
4. nominate 5 – 11 blogs that you feel deserve the award, who have a less than 1000 followers. (Note that you can always ask the blog owner this since not all blogs display a widget that lets the readers know this information!)
5. create a new list of questions for the blogger to answer.
6. list these rules in your post (You can copy and paste from here.) Once you have written and published it, you then have to:
7. Inform the people/blogs that you nominated that they have been nominated for the Liebster award and provide a link for them to your post so that they can learn about it (they might not have ever heard of it!)

The questions from me;
How long have you been blogging for, what made you write that first post?
Who is your favourite designer?
Have you studied fashion/beauty or is it just a hobby?
Who is your role model (in any area of your life?)
If money was no object, where would you shop? (clothes or beauty)
Favourite Celebrity?
What other hobbies do you have?
Would you like to have a career in fashion/beauty? Or is your blog just for fun?

Can't wait to read your answers! If your're reading this and haven't been nominated, leave a comment below and I will tag you in this post too!

Blazers and Boyfriend Jeans

Happy Sunday guys! I did say this would be up yesterday, but it snowed up here in Manchester for the first time in ages, so I got a little distracted!

Just a quick outfit post today, as I also have to write a post on the Liebster Award, which I was very kindly nominated for (all will be explained later!).

On to the look. This wasn't a planned bogged look. I do normally think about how the clothes will look on camera, and I have a bit of a vision. This look was a happy accident! I was popping out for a meal with the hubby and wanted to stay comfortable (baggy jeans, more room for food!) but also smart. Pairing the jeans with heels, instantly gave it more of a sophisticated vibe, I then threw on the blazer and voila!

The fur collar is back, as I've said before, it really does transform any jacket/coat!

My Michael Kors baby was out again, and I finished the look with my jewelled beanie. It's been one of the most 'liked' looks on my Instagram, and I'm pretty happy with the overall look.

Have a great Sunday guys (I'm planning on staying in my PJs) and stayed tuned for my Liebster post.

My Favourite Spring/Summer Trends - Part One

Denim

Get the Look

Denim is back! This time, it has no rules and comes in every shape and form you could imagine! Forget what you thought you knew about the rules, this time it's denim everything! Burberry Prorsum highlighted the elegance of the simple denim jacket. They teamed them with feminine dresses for a 90s feel, such a great piece to invest in for Spring! Double denim was also all over the catwalk. I know, it goes against everything we've been told, but with a modern, structured twist, it looks fantastic and oh so cool.

Stripes

Get the look

One of my favourite trends of all time is stripes! I love them in every season, and always think they look so classy and feminine. It's less nautical this season, and more vibrant, bold, 'in your face' colours. DKNY showed fabulous striped leather in their S/S15 show, but if you prefer a more neutral palette, then there are plenty of options available. I love the colours combos in the Vivienne Westwood Red Label show. Reds and cornflower blues, with a mix of browns, reminiscent of the 70s trend that was also all over the catwalks. Mixing of different stripes was also gave them modern twist.

Pinstripes and Silver

Hello! Happy Tuesday guys. Hope you're having a good week so far. I'm having another busy blogging week. I have a photo shoot with an amazing Manchester brand tomorrow. I'm so excited to have pictures taken with an actual camera! If you don't know already, all my pictures are taken with my Samsung Galaxy S4. I just use Instagram or Vscocam to edit them. I'm also excited as it's one of my fave accessories brand (post to come soon!). It still feels weird (don't think it will ever feel normal) that people are noticing my IG account and reading this blog. I probably mention it in every post, but this was a total last hobby and meant for myself and to express my love for fashion. The fact that I have so many lovely people following my account makes me so happy, and I hope I can give you some outfit inspiration!

Speaking of which, on to the look! My silver babies are out! For some reason I hadn't worn them until Christmas eve, where I got so many compliments, I decided they needed a post of their own. I don't know about you, but I found it really difficult to find comfy, pointy, flat shoes. Every pair I tried on just hurt! Then I found these. They are my most liked picture on Instagram so far, with over 250 likes! They are still in store (I saw them last week, but I can't find them online! Follow the link below for similar ones).

The pinstipe blazer was an absolute bargain from my fave boohoo! £7 in the sale, yes £7. It is amazing. Pinstripes have been big for a while, and with stripes being a major S/S15 trend, it's a great piece to have in your wardrobe!

I've added the fur to add a wintery feel, I love it and it transforms coats! I've had it for years, but I'll link a similar one for you below. Same trust black jeans as always, live in them!

See you very shortly (I'm going to write a 'fave trends for S/S15' in a mo).

Wrapped Up

Hi guys! So it's been another busy blogging week for me It's definitely taking up most of my time, and I am absolutely loving it! I can't believe that 6 months ago I was admiring all of these blogs, too nervous to start my own. I don't know what pushed me to make that post, but if you are thinking of starting a blog, of any type, I would say go for it!

On to the look! This has to be my favourite coat of the season. I wear it most days, and it's the go to coat for most of my "off duty" looks. The most beneficial aspects of this beaut, it the fact it completely covers everything! You could wear anything underneath (I'm usually very dressed down on non-blogging days). It brings my look bang on trend, and best of all it's comfortable and warm.

It's from one of my favourite brands Vero Moda. I absolutely love Scandinavian fashion. The effortless simplicity and modern designs always grab my attention, so when this was new in on Asos, I knew I had to have it!

The scarf is another staple of mine. It's also from asos, and is absolutely huge, again fantastic for covering up and looking stylish. Oversized scarves have been around for a while, but it took me ages to find one that was easy to style and not too over the top. I think asos got it bang on!

My mules and black skinnes are out again. People who follow me on instagram will know I tend to use the same staples for a lot of looks. I think this is realistic of most people's wardrobes. We don't all have endless budgets, so I wanted to reflect reality, and I do wear the same jeans 3/4 days a week!

Hope you're all having a lovely week,

See you soon!

Wide Leg and Lace

So my second look was a bit of NYE inspo. I actually didn't go to a party on NYE. My husband brother and I, went up to a local beauty spot that looks over Manchester. It was amazing to see all the fireworks go off at 12 and such a great way to start 2015!

My wide legged trousers have to be my favourite trousers in my wardrobe. I bought them when I first  started following fashion blogs in May. I would never have bought them before I saw them in a few street style pics, and just thought they were so elegant and flattering,

These beauties were just £25 from Asos. Such a good price for something that is so versatile. I have worn these with flats to give a high fashion look, but paired them with this lace crop for a night time finish. Again, I would NEVER have even tried a crop top until I saw them on blogs. Paired with the high waist trousers, you show about an inch of your stomach, so they no longer have to be a scary thing!

Many more looks to come over the next few weeks, so stay tuned!

Bare Legs in Winter

So my first post of the year actually involves a few of my Christmas sale purchases. I love the Winter sales, as I'm always thinking about summer and getting inspiration for holiday looks at bargain prices! Like the dress on my previous post, I bought it for Spring/Summer. It has an asyemectric hem which we will be seeing lots of this year, and it's also beautifully tiered (reminded me a lot of the Burberry Prorsum S/S15 show).

As you can see, I braved the cold and went for bare legs. It was freezing, but I felt it would have looked to harsh to wear black tights.

My scarf was in the Monsoon sale, and it just goes with everything! I love the khaki green, and it's so warm. It gives a great silhouette and balances out the lower half of the dress.

I've paired it with my season faves, my black chelsea boots from M&S. The make any look bang on trend!

I hope you find some bargains in the sales, H&M and Asos are my personal favourites - good luck!
